One of the most rewarding parts of leadership is seeing talented students grow when they are given the opportunity to work on real-world challenges.

This summer, we welcomed two bright and motivated students to the Technology team at Avante: Kyros Georgiou and Jamie Joaquin. What began as a learning opportunity quickly turned into meaningful contributions across our business. Over the past few months, they worked alongside our team on initiatives involving technology, automation, process improvement, research, documentation, and business operations.

What impressed me most was not just their technical abilities, but their curiosity, willingness to learn, and confidence in asking questions. They brought fresh perspectives to discussions, challenged assumptions, and contributed ideas that helped us think differently about the challenges we face every day.

Their energy, creativity, and eagerness to contribute made them valued members of the team. It’s a great reminder that innovation often comes from looking at problems through a different lens, and our students did exactly that.

Programs like these are important because they do far more than provide work experience. They help develop the next generation of technology professionals while enabling organizations to invest in future talent. The skills gained through these experiences, from critical thinking and communication to collaboration and problem-solving, will serve these students well throughout their careers.

I would also like to thank the managers, mentors, and team members who invested their time in supporting and guiding our students throughout the summer. Meaningful learning experiences happen because experienced professionals are willing to share their knowledge, provide coaching, and create opportunities for growth.

To our summer students: thank you for your hard work, dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges. It has been a pleasure watching your confidence grow and your skills develop over the course of the summer. We are proud of what you accomplished and excited to see where your journey takes you next.
